| If you wish to make photocopies of out-of-print music, please submit a written request for permission via email to the Licensing & Copyright Department. Please see below for details on how to submit your request.
Choral/Solo/Chamber Music
For out-of-print choral music, your request should include:
• The name of the individual or organization and street address to appear on the license
• Title, composer, arranger (if any), and catalog number of the publication (if known)
• Number of photocopies you wish to make
• Reason for making the photocopies
Band and Orchestra
For out-of-print scores and parts of a band or orchestra music, your request should include:
• The name of the individual or organization and street address to appear on the license
• Title, composer, arranger (if any), and catalog number of the publication (if known)
• Number of photocopies of the set you wish to make.
If you do not wish to photocopy the entire set, please specify the number
of scores and/or the number of each part you wish to photocopy.
• Reason for making the photocopies
Works contained in a collection
If the music is part of a collection, your request should include:
• The name of the individual or organization and street address to appear on the license
• Title of the piece contained in the collection, composer, arranger (if any), title and
catalog number of the collection (if known)
• Number of photocopies you wish to make
• Reason for making the photocopies
Once we process your request, we will quote you a fee the size of which will be determined by the nature and extent of your photocopying. Upon your acceptance of the fee we will send you an agreement which gives you permission to make the photocopies specified.
Please note that we can only grant permission to photocopy publications that are out-of-print. You will be required to buy the original copies of publications that are still in print and available for purchase.
